Hi, I animate Madness Combat in Macromedia Flash 8, I sometimes draw in raster graphic programs like Gimp and Krita and I test out things in FL Studio. I've gone by a few past aliases/accounts: Edge0wnz, GrudgyGrunt, Delawares and currently Stagnate.

Well it's me we're talking about, it was bound to happen.
Aha. The first problem you said has been bothering me for a long time. And each time I thought up a different idea to deal with it.
Sometime because the sounds in the movie are in more than one type(Event,Data stream,etc). The problem happened. So I transform them into one type.
Sometime I put the sounds, which played in advance , into a movieclip.
Sometime I use another version of flash to make it.( I have flash cs3\cs4\cs5)
And the second problem.. It's easy to fix it. If I want to use kick2.wav to replace kick1.wav. I just create a new .fla file. And put kick2.wav in. Then I rename it to kick1.wav. Finally put it to the file and replace the orginal kick1.wav.

Actually i know the solution, but i really appreciate that you're trying to help me. I know that it's the sound that's got the wrong file type, but to be honest i've been scattering sounds a bit everywhere so i have no idea which one it is. But thanks for taking your time.
Go to steam support and search for your problem if you haven't fixed your steam yet.
I did send a message to what i believe was the Steam staff, or atleast something directed to Steam. But that was about my old problem. I'm going to send another one about this one too.
And yeah, i'll try searching for it on Steam support. Thank you.
